LOCATION DISCOVERY

The Xhosa easy homestays is in Cofimvaba town, at Qitsi location at KwaTshatshu village. Cofimvaba town is home to a political struggle icon who fiercely opposed the apartheid government. Cofimvaba is situated between Queenstown (130 km) and UMtata (160 km). It is a flat area, and it's easy to drive around, especially when the roads are not wet. Even though Qitsi belongs to Cofimvaba town, our nearest town is Ngcobo. The nearest airport is East London and UMtata airport. You can take a bus, use the local mini buses or vans or your own car to get to the village as there are various ways to get to Qitsi: private transport and arranged transport. The tar road (R61) is 9 km from Qitsi village. If using or hiring your own car, it's better to drive a car that can handle gravel roads. Ideally, when not used to gravel roads, its better to drive during the day than at night.
